On 22nd o May, celebrating the International Biodiversity Day, at Maramures Mountains Nature Park house took place an ecological education session. At this event took part students from Viseu de Sus which have learn new tings about biodiversity and park activity.
In the same day, in Bucharest, at NFA, Mr. Costel Bucur, the park director participated at European Parks Day seminar. On 23rd of May at Romanian Peasants Museum from Bucharest took place the photo exhibition whit images from natural and national parks from Romania. At this exhibition have been show the most representative pictures from MMNP.
Maramures Mountains Nature Park Administration participated at International Environmental Day event organized by United Nations Program for Development, ONU information centre for Romania, GEF, British Embassy in Bucharest, European Parliament Information Office and nongovernmental organizations. At this event the park presented the most representative elements of MMNP.
The park edited informative leaflets and posters about mountain pine (Pinus mugo), specie with important anti erosion function, regulating the water flow on slopes and also esthetic one.
Maramures Mountains Nature Park Administration also organized a content on ecological theme on the framework of Viseu Days, in 27th of June 2008
